Persis aims at providing a true understanding of Islam which is inline with the original teaching brought by the Prophet Muhammad Sallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam and providing different views from the traditional Islamic understanding. It considered the traditional understanding is not original because it mixed with the local culture, the attitude of blind imitation, no critical attitude, and do not want to explore Islamic deeper by opening books of authentic Hadiths (Prophet Muhammad’s traditions). Therefore, through its scholars such as Ahmad Hassan, also known as ‘Hassan Bandung’ or ‘Hassan Bangil’, Persis introduces Islam simply derived from the Quran and Hadith.
