“I do not lift Madura batik up, but the traditions and daily life of its citizens… One interesting thing is Madurese culture is very vast with Islamic culture based on shari’ah so that it’s fit when it’s adopted as the theme of Islamic fashion design. Not only that, their color fashion play could be categorized as brave,” Rya Baraba, a Muslim female fashion designer.

They rarely wearing jeans or tight clothing. And, in average Madurese women’s clothing there has bright and bold colors such as red, green, orange, to pink.”

  1. Fashion design for the show is different to the everyday. It’s beautiful and exciting creativity displayed. Clothing which takes the theme of Muslim clothing, must meet the criteria of sharia. Among them close the chest, this is much neglected.
