REPUBLIKA.CO.ID – Jakarta’S Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) Darunnajah becomes a choice for participants of scholarships recipients from abroad to study Islam in Indonesia. One of them from Republic of Czecho, the state fraction of Czechoslovakia .
“Currently there are three foreign students studying Islam in Pesantren Darunnajah,” Rizma Ilfi Yahy, a lecturer of the pesantren’s Management Information College, told Antara news agency of London, Wednesday (19/2).
He said, this time student from the Czech gets opportunity to study in Pesantren Darunnajah for the academic year 2013-2014.
The participant of the Czecho Republic named Daniel Adnan is one of 17 the Indonesian Scholarship recipients sent from the former communist state to join the program of Darmasiswa for a year.
The ‘Darmasiswa’ program is an integrated program of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is being encouraged through the Indonesian Embassy in various countries. This time for the first time the Darmasiswa recipient of the Czecho chose to continue his study majoring Islamic studies in the pesantren.
